We’re inviting all math detectives to continue having fun finding the clues to solve more math mysteries at our upcoming workshops the week of January 25th and April 26th. If you weren’t able to join us in September you can certainly join us now! Registration is critical to offering workshops across the state. If there are fewer than 10 students signed up two weeks before the workshop then that site will be cancelled. Those families are welcome to visit another site. Families should plan to arrive at 9:50 so classes can start promptly at 10:00. There are planned activities until 12:00 for the parents too.
At the workshops we are going to practice sharing our mathematical thinking in words and seeing how there are different ways to solve the same problem! Plan to bring your math journal to share and write your own story problem. Parents will also be practicing their skills of looking for clues and sharing their mathematical thinking as we explore different ways to solve problems!
We’ll keep you posted with how many students have registered at each site and final decisions will be posted about two weeks before the specific workshop. Be the first to register and keep solving math problems with your family!
